Review by hotel critic
In my recent stay at Penzion Mastal, I found the balance between cost and luxury to be quite satisfactory. The central location of the hotel, right next to the town square, is ideal for exploring the charming streets of Český Krumlov. The room was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable stay for a family of four. The inclusion of a restaurant downstairs provided convenient dining options, with a satisfying breakfast selection. While the hotel lacks some modern amenities like a designated sitting area or room service, the historic charm of the building compensates for it. The free Wi-Fi in rooms was reliable, and the heating ensured a cozy atmosphere during the chilly evenings. As a historian with a penchant for medieval architecture, I appreciated the old-world charm exuded by the entire establishment. In conclusion, for travelers looking for a value-driven accommodation with a touch of history, Penzion Mastal offers a compelling choice in the heart of Český Krumlov.
